Pan-Roasted shrimps with Indian spices.

I made this recipe in a simple way and it is my version.

Preparation time: – 30 minutes (including marination of Shrimps for half an hour / an hour).

Cooking time: – 8 min.

Serves –  2.

Ingredients: –

  • Shrimps – 1\2 kg.
  • Onions – 2 nos. (medium size)
  • Shallots – 6-7 nos. (fried onions)
  • Tomatoes – 2 nos.
  • Ginger – 24gm. (One whole ginger piece)
  • Garlic – 2 bulb.
  • Curry leaves – 2 sprigs.
  • Coconut oil – 4 table spoon.
  • Salt to taste.

For Marination: –

  • Garam masala powder – 1 teaspoon.
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon.
  • Black pepper powder – 1 teaspoon.
  • Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon.
  • Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon.

Marinating: –

  • Wash, clean and devein the shrimps (as shown in my previous video).
  • Add 2 table spoon of coconut oil.
  • Add all the masalas mix well.
  • Add shrimps in it and rest for half an hour / an hour.

For making: – Pan Roasted shrimps with Indian spices.

Methods: –

  • Chop all tomatoes, onions, ginger, garlic and slice shallots.
  • Pour two table spoon of coconut oil.
  • Add chopped ginger and sauté it well.
  • Add another table spoon of coconut oil and mix well.
  • Add chopped onions.
  • Add salt and mix well.
  • Add tomatoes.
  • Cover it and cook for 5 minutes.

  • Add black pepper powder and shrimps.

  • Mix well and cook it in medium flame for 3 minutes.

Garnish: –

  • Now pour 1 table spoon of coconut oil in another pan for browning the shallots.
  • Add curry leaves.
  • Once this mixture is cooled down then garnish it on shrimps.

It is best severed with all kinds of Indian bread, Kerala Porotta, and rice.

Note: –

Don’t overcook the shrimps for more than 3 minutes.

Ready to serve hot.
